Dr. S. Nagendra Boopathy is a distinguished Interventional Cardiologist with extensive expertise in complex coronary interventions, structural heart disease interventions, and advanced percutaneous valve therapies. He is widely recognized for his excellence in minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, evidence-based patient care, and contributions to academic cardiology.
With extensive clinical, academic, and research experience, Dr. Boopathy is associated with the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, where he serves as Professor of Cardiology and Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist. He also leads the Structural Heart Interventional Cardiology program, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and structural cardiac disorders using advanced catheter-based techniques.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he serves as the Honorary Head of the Cardiology Core Lab at CCDC and is the Digital Media Editor for Open Heart, actively contributing to cardiovascular research, scientific communication, medical education, and the advancement of interventional cardiology.
